Hungry

Maise Crow won Multimedia Piece of the Year from the Southern Short Course for this audio/video slideshow, and watching it was without a doubt the highlight of the weekend for me, absolutely a must see. Wonderful storytelling at work here, and one could certainly take a lot of insipiration from the various techniques Crow uses. The text of the story itself is really long (although in my opinion still worth reading all the way through), but the multimedia piece is where the heart of the story lies. So even if you don't read the whole thing, at least watch the multimedia.

I agree, the story here is amazing. Not sure about the two video clips. They vividly relate his behavior and the relationship between the dad and his son; however, only having the two seem a little misplaced. Maybe it's just me. It made me cry and was comprehensive but not overly broad--awesome.

thanks for sharing this one. a coworker of mine told me about this disorder a little over a year ago, and it stuck in the back of my mind. this piece was really interesting. and that interview with the dad? great stuff.

i think the video works here. the audio did a good job of guiding us in and out of it. great piece.
